I think blood is both visceral and darkening, something that carries within it both intimacy and obsession. In this poem, it becomes a metaphor for self-destruction, recurring compulsion, and addiction. There is something deeply human in that image - the way certain desires, memories, or attachments continue to circulate through us long after we believe we have left them behind. I recognize myself in that symbolism and in the emotions it evokes.

and the beginning stanza kills 💖💖 love this
