prometheus
there are some things we just cannot repeat.
I’ve had it on my list to write something inspired by the myth of Prometheus for sometime. Tonight, I thought I’d give it a go. For extra fun, I made Prometheus the villain. Here is the end result.
prometheus
when you stole
the light in my eyes
because you couldn’t
make a wife out of
wet clay.
call me a
fool
for not seeing this
for what it is.
definition of insanity:
me, throwing myself
to the rocks
over & over
again.
you,
rage-drinking
your liver
into cirrhosis.
the bottle,
the boulder,
the scattered
animal bones
won’t bring
me back.
there are
some things
we just cannot
repeat.
there are
some things
we must.
